Why we are here.

Our mission is to advance and increase crop yield to meet the ever-increasing worldwide demand for food by developing innovative equipment and technologies.  We will accomplish this by enhancing various aspects of productivity, safety, and eco-friendliness and will support precision, intensified, and sustainable agriculture.   Our designs and technologies will depart from traditional design and engineering convention, which has not changed in many years.

The demand for agricultural equipment is driven by world food demand which continues to increase. As world food demand rises, urban areas will continue to expand and reduce the availability of agricultural land. Water will continue to become more precious. In addition, there is a developing concern about damage to the water supply resulting from farm field runoff of topsoil and ground water that places nitrates into the water supply. This will drive the need for: reduced capital equipment costs, sustainable practices, reduced input costs for fertilizer and water, and create the need to maximize production yield. We believe our technologies will directly address these needs.

The Food and Agriculture Organisation, the United Nations’ agency charged with thinking about such matters, published a report in 2009 which suggested that by 2050 agricultural production will have to rise by 70% to meet projected demand. Since most land suitable for farming is already farmed, this growth must come from higher yields.
